Generosity Ball
Saturday, December 5th at the Case Community Center.
Proceeds benefiting us!...This is the seventh annual Generosity Ball and earlier this year we were made the permanent recipient of the money raised at this wonderful event.  The silent auction starts at 6:00pm followed by a gourmet dinner at 7:00pm catered by the Uppercrust. After dinner entertainment will be provided by Jennifer Marriott and OSO where you will have the opportunity to dance the night away.  Join us for this fun filled evening. Back to School Campaign- August 2009 will be our sixth annual school supply and clothing distribution for needy students. In 2008, SSCS assisted 550 students with school supplies, book bags, and clothing. July 2009, marks "Back to School Drives" month. If you or your business would like to participate in enriching a childs life through this program please contact Jadine Nollan at 245-5183. The campaign will end July 31st. Distribution of the much needed items will be held August 11th,12th,and 13th at the First Presbyterian Church, 222 North Adams Road. Times for distribution are 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. the 11th, 12th, and 13th. And also from 5:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday August 12th only. Times to use the clothing vouchers at the Sand Springs Wal-Mart will be 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. and 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. all three days. Vouchers will expire Thursday the 13th after 9 P.M.
 
Update: Back to School Program 2009- SSCS helped 586 students this year with clothing vouchers, book bags, and school supplies.  It was a great success due to Nancy McGuire and the many voluteers to helped serve the families in need of assistance. Thanks for your help. 
 
Mayor's Cup Huge Success- With Eleven teams participating and lots of community support Mayor's Cup, held June 12th was the most successful yet.  The fundraiser topped out at approximately $4,300 dollars compared to $1,000 in 2008.  Special Thanks to all who were involved and especially to Cathy Burdge, Mayor Bob Walker, and Grant Gerandale. It was a great community effort!
 
SSCS Book Fair- Held June 6th was a great event with a lot of Wal-Mart foot traffic.  SSCS raised $750 dollars with the help of Debbie McDaniel and many other volunteers that support the agency's mission and purpose. Thanks for investing in SSCS.
