Upcoming Events for 2010

Dinner and Silent/Live Auction - March 27th

Held on Saturday, March 27th at the Case Community Center. It was a fun event with lots of participation and plenty of auction items to choose from. Items included airline tickets, a pool table, architectural services, discounts on beautiful wooded lots, gift certificates for various restaurants and entertainment plus more. The dinner was catered by Rib Crib and was delicious. Special thanks to all who participated. Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated.

Letter Carrier's Food Drive- May 8th

Setting a sack of canned or dried foods by your mail box the morning of May 8th will help support the Sand Springs Community Services food pantry. Letter Carriers will pick up the donated food while delivering your mail. Then the food will be delivered to SSCS. Your donation will go directly to local citizens in need. Please help SSCS make a difference.

Mayor's Cup Softball Round Robin- June 4th

The Sixth Annual Mayor's Cup Softball Round Robin will by held June 4th at the Will Ramsey Softball Fields in Sand Springs. The event benefits Sand Springs Community Services, and will start at 5:00p.m. and go until finished. There are openings for twelve teams and many of the openings are filled already. If your business or organization would like to enter a team contact SSCS through the website or by phone at 245-5183. This is a great event, and you won't want to miss it.

Back to School Campaign- July-August

This will be our seventh annual school supply and clothing distribution for needy students. In 2009, SSCS assisted 586 students with school supplies, book bags, and clothing. July marks "Back to School Drives" month. If you or your business would like to participate in enriching a childs life through this program please contact Jadine Nollan at 245-5183. The campaign will end July 31st. Distribution of the much needed items will be held in August at the First Presbyterian Church, 222 North Adams Road. Details forthcoming.

SSCS Book Fair - Summer

Date and time to be announced. This annual fundraising event is held at Wal-Mart. If you would like to donate your new/old books to this cause you can drop them off at SSCS at 2nd and Main. The proceeds from the sale go to support the agency's mission and purpose. Thanks for investing in SSCS.

Generosity Ball - December 4th

This will be the eighth annual Generosity Ball. The silent auction usually starts at 6:00pm followed by a gourmet dinner at 7:00pm. After dinner entertainment will be provided where you will have the opportunity to dance the night away. Join us for this fun filled evening. Make wonderful holiday memories and support a good cause. Rotary Bean Dinner- December 10th

This is a great opportunity to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch with all the fixins, be entertained by the Rotary Men of Note singing your favorite Christmas Carols, and support a great cause, Sand Springs Community Services. Homemade pies for dessert are also included. Mark your calendars for December 10th. It will be held at the First Presbyterisan Church located at 222 North Adams Road. Festivities will begin at noon.
